THE CONSERVATIVE STRATEGY
This strategy is designed for the short-term player, also who is looking for entertainment only and wants to play as long as possible on a limited budget. It, too, should return a little less than the Optimum over the long haul, but can help you in short-term play by increasing your "staying power" at the machines.
"Staying power" means making your money last as long as possible to conservatively increase your chances of winning by increasing your chances to play.
High Cards = Ace, King, Queen, Jack
Gap = two non-consecutive cards e.g. a 6 and an 8

Start at the top and work down until you find the first draw that fits your hand and use it.
The conservative strategy based on the assumption that the royal flush is practically impossible to hit and might as well be ignored. That appears to be an extremely pessimistic attitude. On the contrary, the conservative player's expectations are not inflated by dreams of instant wealth. Without such high aspirations, he will seldom be disappointed. He realistically - and patiently - plays for fun, and hopes for profit.
This method makes sense for "Staying Power," especially for the occasional player or a vacationer with limited time and, perhaps, limited funds.
Conservative approach is all right if you ignore the royal flush and can be happy just playing for fun or for a small win. However, if you're the conservative type, we suggest you play only nickel or quarter machines.
The half-dollar and dollar types can gobble up a sizable stake in a very short time, regardless of whether you are cautious or not.
ALWAYS BET MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COINS
Most of the time the payout table depends on the number of coins bet on a turn. More specifically you have to bet maximum coins to be eligible for the proportional higher bonus payout on a Royal Flush. So as a rule of thumb always bet maximum coins.
